Jones (6-foot-7, 341 pounds) was signed by the Falcons as an undrafted free agent from Alabama State following this years NFL draft and began the season on the practice squad. Coach Mike Smith says he will be looking to evaluate young players in the final five regular-season games. Jones promotion from the practice squad could be an indication he could see playing time as soon as Sundays game against the Buffalo Bills in Toronto.
